Billing, refunds, credit packs and cancelling
Last updated
To cancel Tsenta, open Settings, then Plan and billing, and select Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, applications that fail are refunded to your allowance automatically, and refund requests for money go to founders@tsenta.com.
Cancel a web subscription
- In the web dashboard, open Settings, then Plan and billing.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- Choose a reason. Tsenta may offer to pause your subscription instead.
- Confirm the cancellation.
You keep your plan and its applications until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account moves to the free plan. Credits you bought stay available.
If a renewal payment failed and your billing period has already ended, cancelling closes the subscription right away and stops further payment attempts.
Cancel a plan bought in the app
Plans bought in the iPhone or Android app are billed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel them in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Tsenta can't cancel a store subscription for you.
Pause instead of cancelling
Pausing stops billing and puts applications on hold, and keeps your profile, résumés and settings. You keep the time you already paid for: your billing date moves forward by however long you stay paused. Resume whenever you like from Plan and billing. Pausing is available for subscriptions bought on the web.
Change your plan
- Upgrade: takes effect immediately. You pay a prorated amount for the rest of your cycle, your new allowance applies right away, and your billing date resets to today.
- Downgrade: takes effect on your next billing date, with no charge now. You keep your current plan and allowance until then.
- Billing period: moving the same plan to a longer billing period, such as monthly to annual, counts as an upgrade. Moving to a shorter one counts as a downgrade.
Refunds
- Applications. Failed attempts, skipped matches and applications cancelled before anything was sent are refunded to your allowance automatically. You don't need to ask.
- Money. There is no self-serve refund button. Email founders@tsenta.com from your account's email address and say which charge you are asking about.
Buy more applications
On an active paid web plan, Plan and billing has a Buy more applications option. You add funds, from $5, and each successful application uses one credit at the price shown there. Failed applications are refunded automatically. Credits you buy don't expire, and they stay usable after you cancel. Buying credits needs an active paid plan.
Payment method and failed payments
Use Manage billing and payment method in Plan and billing to update your card. If a renewal payment doesn't go through, your plan is put on hold until you update the payment method.
Deleting your account
Deleting your account cancels a web subscription right away. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are billed by the store, so cancel them there to stop future charges. Required billing records are kept for financial and legal reasons. See delete account.
