How fast Tsenta applies after a job is posted (match feed and Auto Apply)

Last updated

Tsenta can apply within hours of a job being posted: it watches 50,000+ company career pages, new roles show up in your match feed, and Auto Apply on the Power plan checks for new matches up to four times a day. It doesn't submit within minutes of every posting, so for a role you care about, apply from your match feed as soon as you see it.

How new roles reach you

Tsenta watches company career pages directly instead of waiting for job boards to repost listings. New roles are ranked against your résumé and preferences and appear in your match feed on the web and in the Jobs tab of the mobile app.

How fast Auto Apply moves

  • Run times. Auto Apply runs one to four times a day at the times you choose. The default times are 5 AM, 11 AM, 5 PM and 11 PM Eastern, about an hour after Tsenta's regular job refreshes.
  • Fresh roles only, by default. Auto Apply only considers roles posted in the last 24 hours unless you widen the date-posted filter.
  • Volume per run. Each run applies up to your daily cap, and at most 60 applications in one run.
  • The application itself. Tsenta tailors your résumé, fills the form and submits. How long that takes depends on the employer's system.

Get to new roles early

  1. Set your preferences so your match feed shows the roles you want.
  2. Check your match feed, or the mobile app's Jobs tab, a few times a day.
  3. Apply to a new match as soon as you see it, or swipe right in the app.
  4. On Power, turn on Auto Apply and pick run times that suit your day.
  5. Keep the date-posted filter at 24 hours so each run focuses on fresh roles.
  6. Leave review off for searches you trust, because an application that waits for your review doesn't go out until you approve it.

Job alerts vs Tsenta

A job alert from a job board tells you a role exists. You still open it and apply. With Tsenta, a new match is one step from submitted, and Auto Apply submits matches at its next run without you opening anything. See turning on Auto Apply.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tsenta apply within minutes of a job being posted?

Not automatically. Auto Apply runs at set times, up to four times a day, so it usually applies within hours of a role reaching your matches. To apply within minutes, apply from your match feed as soon as you see the role.

When does Auto Apply run?

At the times you choose, one to four times a day in your time zone. Without a choice, it runs at 5 AM, 11 AM, 5 PM and 11 PM Eastern, about an hour after Tsenta's regular job refreshes, so each run sees what was just posted.

How is this different from a job alert?

A job alert tells you a role exists, and you still apply. Auto Apply submits the application at its next run, and the match feed lets you apply in one step.

Does applying early help?

Recruiters often work through the first wave of applications to a role, so being early can help you get seen. It isn't a guarantee of a reply.
