How Tsenta applies to jobs for you: Find, Prep, Apply, Track
Last updated
Tsenta applies to jobs for you by doing the whole application, not just part of it: it finds a role that fits, tailors your résumé for it, fills and submits the employer's own form, and tracks what comes back. It is an agent that finishes the application, so you are not left with a half-filled form to complete.
The four stages
Find. Tsenta watches 50,000+ company career pages and ranks new roles against your résumé and preferences in your match feed. A match score helps you compare roles. It does not guarantee that you are eligible or that you will get an interview.
Prep. For each application, Tsenta reads the job description and tailors your résumé from the résumé profile you chose, at the level you set: Off, Honest or Aggressive. It writes a cover letter when the employer's form accepts or requires one. With résumé review on, you approve or edit the changes before anything is sent. See how résumé tailoring works.
Apply. Tsenta opens the employer's application, signs in or creates an account where the system needs one, fills every field it supports, drafts answers to open-ended questions from your profile, uploads your documents and submits. This runs in Tsenta's cloud, not in your browser.
Track. The application enters your tracker. Replies that reach your Tsenta inbox are matched to the right application, and the stage moves when Tsenta is confident a message is an interview, a rejection or an offer. See tracking your applications.
What happens when you apply
- You choose a role from your match feed, a search or a job link. If you turned on Auto Apply, it can choose the role for you.
- Tsenta checks that the employer's system is one it can submit on and that your profile has what the form needs.
- Tsenta tailors your résumé and, where the form takes one, writes a cover letter.
- If résumé review is on, the application waits for you to approve or edit the résumé.
- Tsenta fills the form, answers the questions and uploads your documents.
- If Review before submit is on and the employer's system supports pausing, the filled form waits for your review.
- Tsenta submits and records the result on the application.
Your controls
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Résumé optimization | How much Tsenta rewrites your résumé: Off, Honest or Aggressive |
| Résumé auto-approval | When off, each tailored résumé waits for your approval |
| Review before submit | Pauses filled forms for review on systems that support it |
| Auto Apply | On Power, picks and submits roles that pass your filters, without asking about each one |
These are separate. Turning on résumé auto-approval does not turn on Auto Apply. See turning on Auto Apply.
What Tsenta does not do
- Promise interviews. A submission means the employer received your application, not that they will reply.
- Apply everywhere. Tsenta submits on 30+ supported employer systems. When a role is on a system it can't submit on, apply directly and add the role to your tracker. See supported job sites and ATSes.
- Change an application after it is sent. Once an application reaches the employer, it can't be edited or sent again.
Where you can use it
The same account, résumés and application allowance work on the web dashboard, the iPhone and Android apps, the Chrome extension, iMessage and WhatsApp, and Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants through the Tsenta MCP server.
Frequently asked questions
Does Tsenta actually submit job applications?
Yes. Tsenta fills the employer's form, answers the questions, uploads your documents and submits on supported employer systems. It does not stop at filling fields and hand the form back to you.
Where does the application run?
In Tsenta's cloud. Applications started from the web, the mobile app, the Chrome extension, a text or an AI assistant all run there, so you can close the app while they finish.
Can I see what Tsenta changed before it applies?
Yes. Turn off résumé auto-approval and each tailored résumé waits for you with the changes highlighted. Review before submit also pauses filled forms on employer systems that support pausing.
Does a submitted application mean I'll hear back?
No. A submission confirms the employer received your application. Tsenta can't promise a reply or an interview.
