Installing and using the Tsenta Chrome extension
Last updated
To use Tsenta from Chrome, install the Tsenta extension from the Chrome Web Store, sign in to the web dashboard, and click Apply now on a supported job page. The extension sends the role to your Tsenta account and the application runs in Tsenta's cloud, so it does not fill the form in your tab.
Install and apply
- Open Tsenta on the Chrome Web Store and add it to Chrome.
- Sign in at dashboard.tsenta.com in the same browser. The extension picks up that sign-in.
- Open a job on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Wellfound, Dice or an employer's career page.
- Click Apply now on the job, or Apply on a row in a list of jobs.
- Open your dashboard to review the application and follow its result.
How it works on a job board
On a job board, the extension reads the job you are looking at and finds where the employer actually takes applications. Tsenta then checks whether it can submit on that employer's system. On LinkedIn, it skips Easy Apply posts, which apply inside LinkedIn rather than on the employer's system.
Recognizing a job page is not the same as being able to submit it. If the employer's system isn't supported, or the role has closed, Tsenta tells you, and you can apply directly and add the role to your tracker. See supported job sites and ATSes.
Apply when I open a job
The extension has a setting called Apply when I open a job. It is off by default. When it's on, opening a supported job page starts an application and uses one of your applications, so the extension asks you to confirm before turning it on. Leave it off if you browse jobs you don't intend to apply to.
What the extension does not do
- It does not fill in or submit forms in your browser. Tsenta does that in its cloud, which is also why you can close the tab.
- It does not ask for your LinkedIn or Indeed password. It reads the job page you have open.
- It does not run on pages other than job sites and recognized employer application pages.
For settings beyond the extension, such as résumé review and Review before submit, use the web dashboard. To compare this with tools that fill forms in your tab, see how Tsenta submits applications vs autofill extensions.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Tsenta Chrome extension fill in the form in my tab?
No. It sends the job to your Tsenta account, and Tsenta completes and submits the application in its cloud. Nothing is typed into the page you're on, so you can close the tab after you click Apply now.
Does each click use one of my applications?
Each application Tsenta submits uses one from your allowance. Failed attempts and jobs Tsenta can't apply to don't count.
Which job sites does the extension work on?
It shows on job pages on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Wellfound, Dice, Naukri and hiring.cafe, and on employer career pages hosted on systems Tsenta recognizes. Whether Tsenta can submit a given job depends on where the employer takes applications.
Does the extension see everything I browse?
No. It only runs on job sites and recognized employer application pages. Other pages you visit are not sent to Tsenta.
