Does Tsenta keep applying when the app is closed?

Yes, Tsenta keeps applying when the app is closed. Every application runs in Tsenta's cloud, whether you started it on the web, in the mobile app, with the Chrome extension, by text or from an AI assistant, so closing the tab, the app or your laptop doesn't stop it.

What keeps going without you

  • Applications you already started. They keep running to submission unless they need something from you.
  • Auto Apply, on the Power plan. It runs at your run times, up to four times a day, until it reaches your daily cap. You don't need to open the app. See turning on Auto Apply.
  • Reply routing. Replies to your Tsenta inbox are matched to applications and can move tracker stages while you are away.

What waits for you

An application pauses, and stays paused until you act, when:

  • résumé auto-approval is off and the tailored résumé needs your approval,
  • Review before submit is on and the filled form is waiting for you,
  • the form asks something your profile doesn't answer, or a verification step needs you,
  • you are out of applications for the cycle, or
  • your subscription is paused.

Auto Apply also pauses if a résumé profile it uses is missing required fields, and it skips Workday roles until you set an application password.

Set it up to run while you're away

  1. Fill in any fields Tsenta flags as missing on your profile.
  2. Set an application password under Settings, Application password, so Tsenta can create employer accounts.
  3. Decide whether to keep résumé review on. With it on, applications wait for you.
  4. On Power, turn on Auto Apply and choose run times that cover the hours you're away.
  5. Turn on notifications in the mobile app so you hear when applications are submitted or need you.

How you find out what happened

The mobile app can notify you when applications are submitted, when a résumé is ready for review, and when Auto Apply sends applications or pauses. Every application, finished or waiting, is in your dashboard with its current status. See application records.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to keep my computer or phone on?

No. Applications run in Tsenta's cloud. Your device only starts them and shows the results.

Does the Chrome tab need to stay open after I click Apply now?

No. The extension sends the job to Tsenta, and the application runs in Tsenta's cloud. You can close the tab.

Does Tsenta apply overnight?

Auto Apply runs at the times you choose, up to four times a day, including overnight if you pick those hours. The default times are 5 AM, 11 AM, 5 PM and 11 PM Eastern. Auto Apply needs the Power plan.

Why is an application waiting instead of finishing?

It usually needs you: a tailored résumé to approve, a filled form to review, a missing answer, or a verification step. Open the application to see what it is waiting for.
